terms of service

First off, thank you very much for your interest in my artwork! Your support means a lot to me, and ensures that I can keep making art!By commissioning me, Cryptsum, you are agreeing to these terms, so it is your responsibility to read and familiarize yourself with them.

general terms

1. Please speak to me clearly and politely when discussing a commission. I will not tolerate harassment, bullying, or guilt-tripping language. Your commission will be cancelled at my discretion if any of this occurs.2. Extensive hateful language such as racism, homophobia, transphobia, pedophilia, et cetera will result in a denial of all services, and likely a permanent block. If it is particularly bad, I may post you publicly as a warning to other users and artists.3. Please respond to questions I have about your commission in a timely manner (<24 hours). I don’t expect you to be available around the clock, but I don’t want to be waiting around to finish your piece either.4. Please provide clear and neat references for your character, preferably digital. If we are communicating over DM, please be able to email them to me if I ask as quality can get reduced and details can be unclear.5. If you provide a gallery of artwork for your character as your reference, such as a toyhouse listing, I cannot guarantee your character will be 100% accurate as design interpretations and stylizations may be inconsistent between pieces.6. I have a right to deny commissions for any reason, and without explanation.

payment

1.Payment for a commission is due in full and upon receipt of invoice unless otherwise explicitly discussed.2. I only take payment for commissions via PayPal invoicing, and in USD.3. If you have my PayPal email, please do not send me payment without an invoice and/or before I ask for it.4. I will not issue refunds for payment after I have confirmed that work on the commission has been started, unless I choose to due to unplanned delays or unexpected circumstances.5. I am not willing to entertain haggling; I will not sell my art and time for less than I feel it is worth.

process

1. I will send WIPs at each phase of the piece (sketch, lines, color, and/or shading/rendering) to be approved before I continue into the next phase or finish the piece.2. I will keep your commission status regularly updated on Trello, being either Not Started, In Progress, or Finished. Please refer to those lists for any inquiry about where your commission is in line.3. If no guideline or preference for the pose or expression of your character is provided, you are giving me artistic liberty. Please do not expect me to restart or heavily rework the piece after I send the first WIP for free.4. I will complete your commission within a span of one week to three months depending on a number of factors: my personal wellbeing, commission order, work, school, etc. I will notify you if there is an unexpected delay in completing your commission.

copyright/usage

1. As the artist, I hold the rights to the piece, not the commissioner. I am allowed to use the piece promotionally, publish the piece, display the piece, and post the piece.2. You, as the commissioner, are allowed to: use the piece for personal use only; print the art and claim the right to the character(s) depicted, but not the piece itself; post the piece or use it promotionally with direct credit to me, the artist.3. **The following is considered Copyright infringement: **1. Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially, as in generating profit from it in any way, including tracing. 2. Taking Credit for the creation of the artwork. 3. Removing any watermarks/signatures. 4. altering the artwork without my given consent.

customer satisfaction

1. I will do anything within reason to make sure you’re satisfied with your commission from me. Don’t be afraid to ask for tweaks and/or be specific.2. However, if you ask for excessive tweaks for things not clear in your reference material or clarified ahead of time, I will charge a fee at my discretion to continue tweaking the art.3. I will only make small changes after a commission is finished and for 24 hours after you receive the finished piece.4. Changes that I consider major (heavily altering pose or expression, changing outfit, changing background, or generally large reworks) will come with an additional fee.

cancellation/
refunding

1. You as the commissioner have no right to demand a refund after payments are received and the piece has been started.2. If I have not received payment and my efforts to reach out go ignored I will cancel the commission.3. Partial refunds can be issued on a case-by-case basis and as discussed with me. I will not issue refunds for pieces that are nearly complete, and what is and isn’t nearly complete is up to my discretion.4. If I, the artist, choose to cancel your commission due to personal reasons that make me unable to complete it, I will issue a full refund.5.** If you attempt to file a chargeback on me or otherwise steal the payment, you will be blacklisted and publicly posted to make others aware.** If your work has been started, you lose all rights to it and I have the right to sell it to new buyers.

price of these may also vary depending on the complexity of the custom. These are only for the custom; not another pre-existing character.
customs by default come with one fullbody and the palette. text can be added by request for no added charge.
percentages are calculated rom the price of the base custom; getting more than one additional piece won't scale the price.
